Five Bedfordshire Brethren Receive Grand Rank
L-R: WBro Pip Owen, WBro John Carter, WBro Roger Wood, RW Bro Tony Henderson (PGM) and WBro Nick Edwards
On Wednesday 14th March, some 35 Brethren from Bedfordshire travelled down to Freemasons Hall, to attend the March Quarterly Communications. They were there to support the five Bedfordshire Brethren, who were being appointed or promoted to Grand Rank.
WBro Roger Wood, of Beaudersert Lodge No. 1087, was promoted to Past Junior Grand Deacon.
WBro Tim Pope, of Old Lutonians’ Lodge No. 7408, was appointed Past Junior Grand Deacon, in recognition of his sterling work for the Tercentenary Celebrations. Tim – who is not in the picture – is looking forward to being Installed as Third Provincial Grand Principal at the forthcoming Annual Convocation of the Provincial Grand Chapter of Bedfordshire.
WBro Pip Owen, a member of Mercury Lodge No. 7289, was appointed to Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies. Pip received his Grand Rank via Hong Kong, but has retained his membership of Mercury Lodge, despite living in Hong Kong for the last 10 years.
WBro Nick Edwards, of Lovells Bury Lodge No. 4018, was appointed to Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies.
WBro John Carter, of Wenlock Lodge No. 6093, was appointed Past Grand Standard Bearer.
The smiles on the faces of the Brethren who received preferment, is an indication of how much they enjoyed their day.
On behalf of the PGM and the whole Province, we congratulate WBros Roger, Tim, Nick, Pip and John on their preferment, and we look forward to seeing them wearing their Grand Collars and Aprons around the Province.
